About

Hello and welcome to my place.  My name is Arfan Mazhar and currently I’m a Hyperion developer at Activision Blizzard, the no.1 gaming company with hits such as World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero, Call of duty, Tony Hawk and so many more.

In my role I’ve been learning so much, especially with the recent implementation of Hyperion system 9.3.1.  It’s been a heck of  a time!  I’ve been in the industry for a few years now and learnt everything the hard way as there isn’t much information on Hyperion. My purpose for this blog is to share my knowledge with you and try to give newcomers some information that would help them get started. I plan to provide tutorials, guides and explanations that are somewhat simpler to digest than the official documentation which can be quite confusing.

I would really appreciate your comments and feedback so I can provide the content that you would like to see. If you have any suggestions or would like to contribute then please don’t hestitate to contact me.

Many thanks for visiting.

Arfan

    Arfan,

I cannot find a solution to the line limit that is imposed on Excel 2007 to 65000 lines (the old Excel limit) when drilling into HFM (System 9)data via the Query Designer. Do you know what needs to be done to ‘fix’ this?

Hi Arfan, thanks for setting this up. It really breaks it down for someone who doesn’t want to spend thousands of dollars to sit in a 5-day class where only 20 min of it was useful. Please keep up the good work.
